Morrow and Stena Recycling partner to build circular battery value chains

Morrow Batteries and Stena Recycling have signed an agreement regarding battery production scrap from the Morrow Cell Factory in Arendal, Norway. The production scrap will be handled at Stena Recycling’s new facility for battery recycling in Halmstad, Sweden. The goal is to build a complete circular battery value chain using recycled material in new battery cell production.
Battery production equipment inaugurates a new container terminal in Arendal

Morrow Batteries is receiving the first shipment of battery production equipment this week at the newly established container terminal in Arendal. The container ship “Thea II” arrived in Arendal on October 23 with the first load of battery production equipment for Morrow’s battery cell factory. This marks the first time a container ship unloads at the new terminal.

Morrow Batteries opens Norway’s largest battery research centre

Morrow Batteries inaugurates its battery research and innovation centre, the Morrow Research Centre, in Grimstad, Norway June 9th. The centre is at the University of Agder’s Campus in Grimstad, spanning 2,000 square meters of high-tech lab space and another 1,700 square meters of modern office space. It will house most of Morrow’s research activities and the development of Morrow Batteries’ next-generation battery technology.
Norwegian government backs Morrow Batteries

Morrow Batteries and SIVA are investing 49 million £ in building Factory 1 at Eyde Energy Park in Arendal. SIVA is a governmental enterprise for national infrastructure and industrial real estate. Together they have contracted Veidekke AS for the total enterprise of the building at Eyde Energy Park in Arendal.
